This dreamlike quality of this spectacular enclave was declared a UNESCO Global Geopark. The geopark covers a stretch of coastline that runs through the municipalities of Zumaia, Deba and Mutriku. The coastal outcrops and impressive flysch formations offer a record of millions of years of the history of our planet. The hypnotizing landscape makes it a must-see on the Basque Coast. The journey continues through the inland of the Geopark in a maze of valleys and green mountains inhabited since prehistory.
