This dreamlike quality of this spectacular enclave was declared a UNESCO Global Geopark. The geopark covers a stretch of coastline that runs through the municipalities of Zumaia, Deba and Mutriku. The coastal outcrops and impressive flysch formations offer a record of millions of years of the history of our planet. The hypnotizing landscape makes it a must-see on the Basque Coast. The journey continues through the inland of the Geopark in a maze of valleys and green mountains inhabited since prehistory. Is the world of the Karst, here you can enjoy the hike through many paths and visit cave paintings that have been declared Heritage of Humanity.
