Jantziaren Zentroa

Located in an eighteenth-century building, the “Kapitain-etxea” project was created with the help of Errenteria town council.

Jantziaren Zentroa was opened on 1 April 2017 in Errenteria, Gipuzkoa. Run by the Iraultza dance association, it has two aims; on the one hand, to collect and preserve the garments used by our ancestors, and on the other, to exhibit them to the public so that they can learn more about the customs, ways of life and significance of the clothes used by previous generations. The centre organises permanent exhibitions, guided tours, workshops and talks as well as providing all kinds of information on forms of dress.
