Railway museum

The Basque Railway Museum in Azpeitia has one of the best railway collections in all Europe, including steam, diesel and electric engines, railcars and all types of carriages.

Although the museum introduces visitors to rail history in the Basque Country, one of its biggest attractions is the train journey to and from the former Lasao station. Also open to visit is the old Urola Railway mechanical workshop, kept exactly as it was when opened in 1925, with its impressive machine tool display.
