One of the secrets of haute cuisine is the concentrated flavour of its dishes. The area surrounding San Sebastian can boast so many Michelin stars in such a short distance that the culinary offer seems to be a gastronomic creation in itself, as if it were a reduction or confit of talent.

It’s no exaggeration. There are 16 Michelin stars within a 25 km radius around the capital city, where every restaurant is within 10 minutes reach by car. What’s more, out of the eleven restaurants with three Michelin stars in the country, three are located in San Sebastian. Actually, with the exception of Kyoto in Japan, there is nowhere else in the world with a greater concentration per square metre. This is extraordinary, as if from another galaxy.
