Eduardo Chillida, one of the world’s most prestigious sculptors, dreamt of having a permanent exhibition space for his work. Chillida-Leku is the fulfilment of that dream, a place to discover the trajectory of the artist from San Sebastian. The Zabalaga estate, in Hernani, had more than 40 sculptures in its gardens, turning a stroll among beech and magnolia trees into an exciting experience of shape, space and time. The renovated Zabalaga farmhouse is the hub of the Museum, where the smaller works in steel, alabaster, granite, terracotta, plaster, wood and paper are to be found. The installations are currently closed indefinitely.
